ORLANDO, Florida. – Daisy Hernández Méndez, the Puerto Rican resident of Kissimmee who was hit by a vehicle while sunbathing in the sand of a Daytona Beach beach last March, died after staying in hospital for several months. Bryan Liciaga, Hernández Méndez's only son, confirmed to Telemundo 31 the death of his mother, a news that comes after months of medical treatment and a recovery that, until recently, seemed to show progress.
