Quito, 16 Jun (La Calle).- On June 14, President Daniel Noboa entered the National Assembly with his third urgent economic project: the Organic Law on Recovery of Protected Areas and Promotion of Local Development. Presented as a tool to "rescue territories taken by organized crime", the initiative promises to combat illegal mining, drug trafficking and clandestine logging in protected areas through public-private alliances and militarization.
The plenary session of the National Assembly will meet on Monday 16 June the urgent economic project sent by President Noboa, which incorporates key reforms in recruitment, public service and criminal sanctions.
