Zdeněk Navráti spent almost 39 years behind bars for two brutal murders. Last year, he successfully appealed for release for the first time in court — but the decision was overturned by the regional court. It is said that repeated commission of the crime cannot be ruled out.
A psychologist did not recommend the release of the longest-imprisoned Czech in court in Most on Thursday. The bail for Zdeněk Navrátil, formerly Vocásek, was suspended by the Oikia association. The longest-imprisoned Czech, convicted of two murders, spent over 39 years behind bars. The Society for the Rule of Law has now offered bail.
