PS will hold an inquiry even if the Government falls: “There will be a commission in this or the next legislature”

This morning the Government did not rule out presenting a motion of confidence at the leaders' conference. Even if the Government falls, the PS will maintain the intention of a commission of inquiry into Montenegro in the next legislature.

For the opposition leader, “the country is living in a political crisis and the main factor of instability is the prime minister”.

CNN Portugal commentator Luís Montenegro also considers that the PS's intention to move to a parliamentary committee of inquiry was a good move by Pedro Nuno Santos.

Socialists will go ahead with forced scheduling because they don't want to let other parties change the subject of the parliamentary commission of inquiry. Potestative scheduling also allows the PS to chair the commission

The Socialist Secretary General announced the initiative this Monday. “The doubts are many and must be clarified to defend the regime,” said Pedro Nuno Santos.
