Hundreds of people gathered Saturday in Vogan, southern Togo, at the call of opposition parties and civil society groups to protest against the Constitution adopted in 2024, which enabled President Faure Gnassingbé to further consolidate his hold on power.
Organized by a grouping of major Togolese opposition parties and civil society, the rally was held on Sunday 26 July in Vogan, located about 60 kilometres from the Togolese capital, Lomé.
