Proteotype Unveils Alchemi®, the Data and Orchestration Platform Behind Enlighten®
The platform is backed by about $499,000 to standardize lab data and support secure deployment across distributed laboratories.
Yesterday, Torres Vedras, Portugal-based Proteotype Diagnostics unveiled Alchemi, a proprietary data and clinical workflow platform designed for Enlighten, the company's investigational blood-based multi-cancer test.
The 15-month development programme begins September 1, 2026, supported by approximately €499,000 from the European Innovation Council's Pre-Accelerator funding initiative.
Alchemi connects laboratory measurements and multi-country clinical data through secure digital infrastructure, supporting interoperability standards including HL7 FHIR and SNOMED to simplify local care pathways.
CEO Wesley Sukdao said Alchemi provides the software infrastructure required to turn laboratory measurements into reliable results, while Chief Scientific Officer Emma Yates emphasized managing complexity while keeping Enlighten scalable.
Development will be led from Proteotype's Torres Vedras site, where the company is recruiting full-time roles in software engineering, data engineering, and cybersecurity.
