Dutch prosecutors say a conflict over cryptocurrency investments escalated into the kidnapping, extortion, and degrading abuse of a man in Nieuw-Vennep. One of the three suspects appeared at a preliminary court hearing in Amsterdam on Tuesday. According to the prosecution, investigators recovered screenshots from a video that allegedly shows the naked victim being subjected to humiliating abuse, including being urinated on.
"It is not classy," said Younes B.'s lawyer with a sense of understatement in the Amsterdam court on Tuesday. And that is true: B. is suspected, among other things, of kidnapping, extorting, and threatening his former close friend. According to the prosecution, B. even urinated in the victim's mouth during the act and threatened to make footage of it public.
According to the Public Prosecution Service, a dispute over crypto investments led to the kidnapping, extortion, and extreme humiliation of a man in Nieuw-Vennep. On Tuesday, one of the three suspects appeared before the judge in Amsterdam for a first preliminary hearing. The case file contains screenshots of a video showing urine being urinated on the naked body and into the mouth of the victim.
