A teacher from Porthmadog has established a new climbing association which will try to encourage more Welsh people and Welsh speakers to reach the world's highest peaks. Climbing to the top of the 14 mountains across the world that are over 8,000m high is now a relatively popular leisure activity, with hundreds trying to conquer Everest, in particular, every year now.
