Principle Construction completes truck maintenance, warehouse facility in Elgin

Principle Construction Corp. completed construction of a truck maintenance and warehouse facility for Orozco Trucking at 2580 Mason Road in Elgin, Illinois. The build-to-suit project provides the national climate-controlled and dry freight specialist with a permanent home following their relocation from a leased site in Elk Grove Village. The new 55,468-square-foot headquarters was designed to streamline Orozco’s diverse operational needs, featuring a strategic mix of office, maintenance, and warehouse space. Situated on previously undeveloped land with immediate access to I-90, the site also offers significant room for the company’s future expansion. The new facility offers a versatile layout which includes a two-story office space totaling 23,000 square feet, 16,800 square feet of maintenance space  and 15,000 square feet of warehouse space. The warehouse and maintenance facility have 26’ clear height, four dock doors, and four drive-in doors.

Principle Construction Corp. completed construction of a truck maintenance and warehouse facility for Orozco Trucking at 2580 Mason Road in Elgin, Illinois. The warehouse and maintenance facility have 26’ clear height, four dock doors, and four drive-in doors. The Principle team installed an R-30 loosely laid EPDM ballasted roofing system with two layers of Isocyanurate insulation. The new facility offers easy access to I-90 and is on previously unbuilt land, giving Orozco room to expand in the future. The project was led by Principle Project Manager Darrin Dehmlow and General Superintendent Doug Brucato. Architectural services were provided by Harris Architects. With the keys now handed over, Orozco Trucking has fully transitioned its operations to the new Elgin campus.
