A 20th-minute own goal by goalkeeper Thomas Gillier tied the match at 1-1, though Montreal earned a rare victory in Columbus for only the fourth time in 18 attempts.
Streit netted the game-winning goal in the 78th minute unassisted while navigating slick conditions caused by heavy rainfall at ScottsMiracle-Gro Field throughout the match.
