"Following erroneous publications," the Prime Minister's Office published his conduct on the morning of the massacre. According to him, he was first informed of the attack only at 6:29 AM, and about an hour later he went to the compound. Only at 9:55 AM, about three hours after the attack began, did he hold a situation assessment with the heads of the security establishment - and ordered the border closed.
