DESOTO COUNTY, MISSISSIPPI, JUL 11 – Jonathan Nguyen-Voung faces multiple felonies including possession and distribution of child pornography as part of Operation Exorcism targeting child exploitation in DeSoto County.
- On July 10, 24-year-old Jonathan Tu Nguyen-Vuong, a religious educator and priest-in-training, was arrested at his workplace, a Catholic parish located in Olive Branch, Mississippi.
- The arrest took place without any issues during the execution of a search warrant at Nguyen-Vuong's residence in Nesbit, linked to a larger probe targeting child exploitation offenses.
- Forensic specialists recovered several digital items loaded with illegal content related to minors, including one that was in the process of downloading child pornography when authorities arrived.
