Pressure Cookers Sold at ALDI Recalled After Multiple Severe Burns Reported
About 46,660 Ambiano electric pressure cookers sold at Aldi are recalled after eight severe burn injuries linked to premature lid opening, the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission reported.
- On October 10, 2025, the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission announced a recall of about 46,660 Ambiano Electric Pressure Cookers sold at Aldi stores nationwide.
- CPSC found the lids can be opened prematurely, allowing hot contents to escape before enough steam pressure is released, creating a serious burn hazard and prompting the recall.
- So far, 11 incident reports include eight severe burn injuries linked to Model 93550 , Model 96775 , and Model 98527 cookers.
- Owners should stop using the recalled cookers immediately and return them to Aldi for a full refund or contact Tempo at serviceusa@tempo.org for a refund.
- Sold between January 2016 and December 2019, the units were manufactured in China and sold exclusively at Aldi for about $40, with the recall initiated by the importer.
