- Liaqat intercepted a suicide attacker on Monday while the suspect moved through agricultural fields near the inter-provincial border, preventing the bomber from reaching a sensitive location between Kohat and Attock.
- Located in Jand, some 70km from Attock, Liaqat noticed a suspicious individual while grazing goats; witnesses said he confronted the man, who detonated explosives, killing both men in the blast.
- Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif praised the sacrifice, stating, "Such brave and fearless citizens are the true symbol of the national resolve against terrorism," and officially recommended the award.
- President Zardari emphasized that the "entire nation stands united with its security forces and law enforcement agencies for the elimination of the scourge of terrorism," affirming the war will continue.
