Guadalajara, Jalisco. The Akron Stadium, one of the headquarters of the 2026 World Cup, has begun to undergo a renewal plan to receive state-of-the-art technology and meet the standards required by FIFA. Work began last week to remove the original grass and install a state-of-the-art hybrid lawn, as well as an advanced drainage system, said Sebastián Muñoz, representative of the Guadalajara club, owner of the stadium.
