Thousands of people clapped and cheered in a central Serbian town. They welcomed a group of university students at the end of their cycling tour of the Balkan country ahead of an early election next month in which they are challenging populist President Aleksandar Vucic.
A group of student cyclists arrived in Kragujevac on Saturday, ending their ten-day cycling route through Serbia, organized before the parliamentary elections scheduled for October 25.
The Constitution of the Republic of Serbia says that the President of the Republic expresses national unity, but the only real unity comes from this youth - this is one of the messages of today's gathering in Kragujevac, which ended the ten-day cycling tour of students and candidates of the election list "Student list - students win" under the name "Guardians of the Constitution".
