Prep state softball: Frye's exploits help Man top Sherman 1-0 in Class A upset

SOUTH CHARLESTON — Shyann Frye made an inspirational short film out of Man’s 1-0 win over Sherman on Thursday in the Class A State tournament. Frye took a dive to tag out a runner and had to be seen by medical staff in the fifth inning. She returned to the game, hit a single in the sixth to become the go-ahead run and made a catch against the fence in the seventh to help pace the No.6-seeded Hillbillies to an upset win over the No. 2-seeded Tide.
