Prep softball: Copley, Pointers shut down Greenup County 5-0

RUSSELL, Ky. -- On a day the Kentucky Derby was run, South Point went to the Bluegrass State and won in impressive fashion. Kota Copley pitched a four-hit shutout as the Pointers (16-6) defeated Greenup County 5-0 Saturday in the Tri-State Showcase high school softball event at Russell High School. "When Kota's on, we can play with about anybody," South Point coach Tanner Heaberlin said.
