The 76th Dubrovnik Film Festival is premiering Medea by Slovenian director Martin Kušej tonight. The play intertwines contemporary reality with an ancient myth about exclusion, loss, violence, and the demonization of a woman who crosses social boundaries.

As part of the 76th Dubrovnik Summer Festival, the premiere of Medea, directed by Martin Kušej, will take place at the Lovrijenac Fortress tonight. It is an international co-production of the Drama of the Slovenian National Theatre Maribor, the Croatian National Theatre in Varaždin and the Dubrovnik Festival. The premiere is sold out, with repeat performances until the end of July.
