Transfers: Spurs Sign Dubravka, Burnley Close on Bellamy
Experienced goalkeeper Martin Dúbravka joins Spurs as the fourth off-season signing, a move expected to facilitate Guglielmo Vicario's potential exit.
On Wednesday, Tottenham Hotspur confirmed the signing of goalkeeper Martin Dúbravka from Burnley as their fourth summer acquisition on a free transfer.
Manager Roberto De Zerbi is reshaping his squad after narrowly avoiding relegation, with Italy goalkeeper Guglielmo Vicario expected to leave and Antonin Kinsky established as the primary starter.
"I am very happy because Martin is a goalkeeper with big experience and a strong mentality," De Zerbi stated, emphasizing the need for balance and leadership in the dressing room.
Dúbravka joins Andy Robertson, Marcos Senesi, and Jan Paul van Hecke as part of De Zerbi's summer rebuild, stating, "Everything moved pretty quickly and I'm really happy to be here."
Tottenham maintains a longstanding interest in Manchester City goalkeeper James Trafford, suggesting further recruitment remains possible before the transfer window closes.
