A 2.8 magnitude earthquake was recorded near Gilroy on Thursday morning, according to the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS). Telluric movement was recorded at around 7:04 a.m. and had its epicenter 6.5 miles east of Gilroy, USGS reports. No further information was available immediately.
