- Gunmen killed 13 people, including 3 pregnant women, during an overnight attack on Ngbra Zongo community in Kwall District of Plateau State on Friday around midnight.
- Recurring attacks linked to suspected Fulani militia have plagued Plateau State in recent days, repeatedly targeting vulnerable rural communities and forcing residents to flee into nearby bushes.
- Community member Philip Alanga reported attackers moved house to house with machetes and gunfire. "They came into the community and started shooting. They moved from one house to another attacking innocent people," Alanga said.
- Secretary General of the Irigwe Development Association Danjuma Auta confirmed the tragedy, urging security agencies to track down perpetrators and ensure justice to deter future violence.
- As of press time, officials from Operation Enduring Peace and the Plateau State Police Command had not responded to inquiries, while many survivors remain injured and in urgent need of medical attention.
