Precautionary Lockdown at Rome Grade School Following Reports of Suspicious Man

DIX – Rome Grade School was placed on a “soft” lockdown for precautionary reasons Friday morning after Jefferson County 911 received several calls of a man north of Dix acting abnormally according to the sheriff’s office. There was no immediate threat to any students, staff or the school itself, again it was done as a precaution. The situation was resolved and the lockdown was lifted.
