Pragmata preview: Very promising, even if Diana is a bit annoying
Capcom previews Pragmata’s hybrid combat of gunplay and real-time hacking, set on a lunar base with recreated Earth cities, ahead of its April 17 release.
- Capcom recently held a 90-minute press preview of Pragmata, its upcoming sci-fi shooter featuring astronaut Hugh Williams and android companion Diana, launching April 17, 2026.
- Set on a lunar research station, the game features a large-scale simulation of New York City where Hugh and Diana must escape the hostile facility while searching for a way back to Earth.
- Combat combines third-person shooting with a real-time hacking minigame where players navigate a grid using face buttons to expose enemy weak points, blending tactical puzzles with fast-paced action.
- Within the Shelter, a central hub managed by support robot Cabin, players spend accumulated resources to upgrade weapon capabilities and suit statistics between missions.
- Described as an 'Uncle Game' rather than a 'Dad Game,' Pragmata emphasizes the endearing interplay between its leads. Capcom releases the full experience on April 17.
