Filmmaker Rob Reiner made his final on-screen appearance as George Washington in HBO's "Life, Larry and the Pursuit of Unhappiness," which aired its second episode on Friday, July 3.
Executive produced by Barack and Michelle Obama through Higher Ground, the special celebrates the 250th anniversary of the founding of America with an improvised, comedic approach to major historical events.
In the sketch, Reiner warns against a third presidential term; Larry David, dressed as a colonist, then imagines a "narcissistic" future president ignoring the Constitution, while Jimmy Kimmel also appears in the skit.
Director Jeff Schaffer described the cameo as the late filmmaker's "last laugh," though the sketch was filmed on Nov. 13, just one month before Reiner and his wife were found dead on Dec. 14.
Authorities charged their son, Nick Reiner, with two counts of first-degree murder; court records obtained by Fox News Digital show he recently sought access to a $1.5 million trust fund for criminal defense.
