Post office's bid to sell booze rejected over risk of crime and anti-social behaviour

A post office in the south of Middlesbrough has been unsuccessful in its attempt to sell alcohol. Hemlington’s Post Office was seeking a premises licence to sell booze at the post office and accompanying store, but councillors on a licensing sub-committee have rejected the proposals.
