‘Portlandia,’ the comedy that divided Portlanders, returns to Netflix

Over the course of its eight seasons, “Portlandia” earned praise from critics and comedy professionals (Jerry Seinfeld, for one, called it “easily one of the best comedies of all time”). At the same time, “Portlandia” got under the skin of some Portlanders, who thought the satirical sketch show perpetuated stereotypes about the Rose City’s “Keep Portland Weird” quirkiness.
