Dangerous Tree Prompts Temporary Closure of Barron Street in Kenton

Out of an abundance of caution, the City of Kenton has temporarily closed Barron Street between Summit and North due to a hazardous tree posing a potential safety risk. A contractor has been contacted for emergency removal of the tree. Portion of Houston Street in Athens closed tomorrow for tree removal

On Thursday, the Athens Street Department will remove a large tree starting at 8 a.m., and Houston Street between Hobbs Street and Market Street in Athens will be closed most of the day.
