Portage la Prairie Proposes Parking Bylaw Changes to Align with New Garbage Cart System, Snow Clearing

The City of Portage la Prairie is proposing changes to its traffic bylaw that would alter on-street parking rules to better accommodate snow clearing ahead of the new automated garbage cart collection. The proposed amendments, which received a first reading at the Oct.14 council meeting, also include establishing new two-hour parking zones in high-traffic areas.
