Seven people face possession of a controlled substance charges following what Saugeen Shores police described as a “weapons incident” in a June 3 social media post. Police said June 2 they responded to a call in the 500 block of Market St., in Port Elgin.
Search warrant results in several people charged
On June 3rd 2026 Saugeen Shores Police responded to a weapons incident in the 500 block of Market Street. While on scene speaking to people involved officers observed evidence of drug possession. As a result several people on scene were placed under arrest for possession of a controlled substance.
