An Egyptian court has handed down a harsh sentence in a drug trafficking case. Television presenter Sarah Khalifa and 11 others have been sentenced to death after investigators alleged that the group they were part of was involved in activities related to the production and trafficking of narcotics.

Egyptian TV host Sarah Khalifa has been sentenced to death by hanging along with 11 others after a Cairo court convicted them of running a drug trafficking network, state media reported. CNN’s Nada Bashir has more.
The decision was made on 5 September and the woman denied all the observations of the Attorney General ' s Office in that country.
