Jon Popovich smashed two home runs and drove in five runs to lead fifth-seeded Pompton Lakes to a 17-6 victory over 13th-seeded Passaic in the first round of the Passaic County Tournament in Pompton Lakes.Popovich went 2-for-5 at the plate and also earned the win on the mound, striking out four batters over 5.2 innings while allowing six runs on five hits.
