In modern society, the real meaning of life is often too short, the Pope criticises and explains what the Church can do about it in the present day and why it must give people new orientation.
The Church does not stand "above" or "alongside" the world, but is embedded in it and shares its fragility and beauty, the Holy Father said during the general audience on October 7 in St. Peter's Square.
