Pontegadea, the investment arm of Amancio Ortega, and the consortium of Macquarie have closed Qube’s purchase for €7,165.94 million. Qube is dedicated to providing comprehensive logistics services, including storage, ports, road transport or container manufacturing.
Amancio Ortega’s investment in Australia has already reached port. Pontegadea has completed, together with Macquarie Asset Management and the UniSuper pension fund, the acquisition of Qube Holdings, one of the country’s large groups of port infrastructure and logistics. The operation values the company at €7.160 million, and gives the investor vehicle of the founder of Inditex 15% of the capital, valued at €1.070 million.
