Ponds to be infilled at site of new baseball field construction project in Truro, N.S. - Turf & Rec

A trio of ponds that were created during the construction of a baseball field in Truro, N.S. are to be filled in at a cost of more than $600,000. CBC News reports the ponds don’t drain and present a standing water and safety issue. While the ball diamond project is nearing completion, one town councillor said a cheaper option to infilling the ponds would have been to erect chain link perimeter fencing.
