The Cernavoda nuclear power plant will not be restarted before September 10th, even if the Danube flow rate is increasing. State Secretary in the Ministry of Energy, Cristian Bușoi, says that the water level is not yet stable enough for reactors to be safely repositioned.
The State Secretary of the Ministry of Energy, Cristian Bușoi, said on Wednesday that the Cernavoda nuclear power plant will not resume its operation before 10 September, pointing out that although the flow of the Danube is increasing, the level of water at Cernavoda is not at a stable level for the safe operation of the facility.
Untimely work has brought Romania into an unprecedented situation, due to the drought that has stopped the two reactors of the Cernavoda Nuclear Power Station.
