In the political barometer extra, the AfD in Saxony-Anhalt is about 40 percent ahead of the state elections. As far as the question of the next prime minister is concerned, top candidate Ulrich Siegmund has a long way to go in the poll.

One week before the state election in Saxony-Anhalt, according to the current poll, the AfD is clearly ahead. However, it is not enough for a single government. The CDU follows as the second strongest party with 23 percent, the left comes to 13 percent.
Shortly before the Landtag elections, the AfD remains clearly in the lead. Nevertheless, the majority of respondents reject the party's sole government – and would like to see Sven Schulze of the CDU as prime minister.
AfD is clearly ahead, but for the right-wing party it is no longer high – on the contrary!
According to ZDF's politbarometer, the AfD is 40 percent – but at the same time Siegmund is experiencing a fierce poll damper here.
