After Russia launched a massive air strike on Ukraine on Wednesday morning and the use of jet drones, a rapid take-off of fighter jets in Poland and the readiness of air defense systems was declared ready, officials said. The Operational Command of the Polish Armed Forces (DORSZ) said it had used “all available necessary forces and resources” in view of Russia's attacks on Ukraine as a preventive measure to ensure the security of Polish airspace.
The airports in Lublin and Rzeszów in Poland have resumed air traffic after being temporarily closed due to military operations in Polish airspace, according to the country's aviation authority.
Due to Russian attacks on neighbouring Ukraine, Poland temporarily closed two airports near the border on Wednesday. Air traffic has now resumed.
The airports of Jeshuv and Lublin in eastern Poland suspended their operations on the morning of 30 September, as reported by the Polish Agency for Aeronautical Services of PANSA, in order to ensure the freedom of military aviation.
