Police have warned community leaders in Western Province against organising illegal roadblocks and gatherings following the arrest of four men linked to a blockade at the Helsinki checkpoint near the Ok Tedi Mining project area. Assistant Commissioner Steven P. Francis said leaders must use legal processes to address land and development disputes instead of intimidating workers, obstructing roads or disrupting lawful operations.
