Slovenian police have participated in a large-scale Europol operation targeting organised crime groups involved in waste and pollution-related crimes. In the intensified controls, Slovenian authorities identified six illegal waste shipments and seized a large number of cylinders containing banned fluorinated greenhouse gases. Law enforcement authorities seized, among other things, 127,150 tons of waste, 602 tons of pollutants, 75 tons of pesticides and almost 10 million euros, the police announced.
