Police looking for missing person find 3 men dead in Detroit house

On Wednesday, Feb. 18, 2026, Detroit police found three bodies inside a southwest Detroit home while responding to a missing persons report.
Responding to a 911 call shortly before 1 p.m., officers were approached by an individual claiming assault inside a nearby home, McKay said, leading them to the house.
Assistant Police Chief Charles Fitzgerald said the three victims were bludgeoned and stabbed, and the house interior was brutal with one person covered by a carpet.
A heavy police presence remained on the block as detectives said the case is being investigated as a triple homicide; no suspects or bodies have been identified and the public is asked to provide tips.
Detroit detectives say it is unknown if the deaths are linked to the missing persons report, and they do not yet know how long the bodies were in the house.
