Polestar 4 SUV Arrives with £2k Price Cut and Brings Back Rear Window
The new SUV adds a conventional rear window, 129 liters more cargo space and a 630-kilometer WLTP range, Polestar said.
- Polestar will launch an upright SUV version of the Polestar 4 later this year, adding a conventional rear window to address the coupe's distinctive design constraint.
- The original Polestar 4 coupe grabbed attention for its fastback silhouette but lacked a rear window, relying on a roof-mounted camera instead; the SUV shares the same 4,840-millimeter length and 2,139-millimeter width.
- Pricing in Germany starts at €57,900, €4,000 less than the coupe, while the SUV offers 530 liters of cargo volume to the seatbacks or 1,665 liters with rear seats folded.
- Polestar plans deliveries for the fourth quarter of 2026, targeting Europe as its largest market, where wagon preferences drive demand for the new SUV format.
- A 100-kilowatt-hour battery pack is standard across the range, with 200-kilowatt maximum DC charging and an optional electrochromic glass roof that reduces glare through electrically dimmable laminated glass.
