The United States has unofficially asked Poland to send a battery of Patriot air defense systems to the Middle East, but Warsaw has not complied. The American request was first reported by the Rzeczpospolita daily, and the Polish Defense Minister Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz rejected the deployment of Polish Patriots shortly afterwards.
