The conference of the Regional Unions of Liberal Health Professionals alarms on chemical pollution – pesticides, Pfas, microplastics – called "systemic threat", which led 19 million people to consume at least once non-compliant water in France in 2024.
In a letter to the Prime Minister, liberal doctors warned about "chemical pollution of drinking water", which they described as "a massive public health issue too often minimized". 30% of the French population reportedly consumed water that was not compliant at least once in 2024.
The chemical pollution of drinking water in France, particularly pesticides and PFAS, represents a "systemic threat" to health, said Monday a group of liberal doctors, who had already made themselves known to the public.
