- Mohammad Jawed read out the notice to move the resolution, backed by K Suresh and Mallu Ravi, with more than 50 MPs standing in support, and 118 Opposition MPs signed the resolution alleging partisan behaviour.
- Jagdambika Pal, BJP MP , granted leave to move the motion and set 10 hours for the debate, urging MPs to confine remarks to the resolution.
- The debate is taking place during the Budget Session, which runs until April 2, 2026, and Amit Shah, Union Home Minister, is expected to speak today around 4-5 pm.
