213 Km Journey in 2.5 Hours: PM Modi to Inaugurate Delhi-Dehradun Expressway on April 14
The 210-kilometer route is expected to improve connectivity and support tourism and commerce, officials said.
- On Tuesday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit Uttarakhand to inaugurate the 210-kilometre Delhi-Dehradun Expressway, marking his 27th visit to the state.
- This 210-kilometre infrastructure project features five toll plazas and is expected to become a lifeline for tourism and commerce between India's national capital and Uttarakhand.
- A high-profile roadshow spanning 12 to 14 kilometres will feature performances of Kumaoni, Garhwali, and Jaunsari folk dances, designed to showcase the state's rich heritage.
- Upon arriving in Dehradun, the Prime Minister will visit the historic Maa Daat Kali temple, spending 5 to 10 minutes for prayers, said Shubham Goswami, son of the temple's head priest.
- Manveer Singh Chauhan, BJP state media in-charge, said the Prime Minister is bringing the "golden boon of the expressway" alongside development projects, combining infrastructure push with religious outreach.
