- Tomorrow, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate two National Highway projects in Rohini at around 12.30 p.m., with an estimated cost of nearly Rs 11,000 crore.
- The Prime Minister's Office said on Saturday that these highway projects are part of the government’s comprehensive plan to decongest the capital.
- Project spans a 10.1 km Delhi section of the Dwarka Expressway, developed at around Rs 5,360 crore, and the Alipur to Dichaon Kalan stretch of UER-II with links to Bahadurgarh and Sonipat at about Rs 5,580 crore.
- Immediate benefits include easing traffic on Delhi’s Inner and Outer Ring Roads, Mukarba Chowk, Dhaula Kuan, and NH-09, PMO said.
- The Prime Minister’s Office said these projects reinforce the Centre’s vision of 'world-class infrastructure' and are expected to ease multi-modal connectivity to Yashobhoomi, DMRC Blue Line, DMRC Orange Line, Bijwasan railway station, and Dwarka cluster bus depot.
