- On Monday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will launch the ₹1 lakh crore Research, Development and Innovation Scheme Fund at ESTIC 2025, the inaugural science conclave.
- ESTIC, described as a flagship government event, aims to unite India’s innovation ecosystem under the theme `Imagine, Innovate, Inspire`, Science and Technology Minister Jitendra Singh said.
- The three-day conclave will bring together more than 3,000 participants including Nobel laureates and eminent scientists, featuring talks, panel discussions, presentations and technology showcases.
- The Research, Development and Innovation Scheme Fund aims to promote private sector-led investments, and organisers say IISF 2025 will celebrate India’s scientific advancements reflecting Aatmanirbhar Bharat.
- Deliberations will focus on 11 key thematic areas including advanced materials, AI, bio-manufacturing, electronics and semiconductor manufacturing, energy, health, quantum science and space technologies, and Jitendra Singh reviewed preparations for the India International Science Festival at Panjab University, Chandigarh, December 6 to 9.
