PM Modi to Visit Chennai on Sunday, Kickstart Projects Worth Rs 13,000 Cr

- On Sunday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit Chennai to inaugurate and lay foundation stones for development projects worth over Rs 13,000 crore.
- Modi will inaugurate the Poonamallee-Vadapalani stretch of the Chennai Metro Rail Project, built at Rs 4,900 crore to enhance public transport connectivity.
- Road connectivity will improve with the inauguration of the 36-km Vadugapatti-Therkuvenganallur section of NH-744 and the 30-km Madurai Ring Road section of NH-744A.
- Railway infrastructure projects worth over Rs 750 crore will also be inaugurated during the visit, alongside the Thiruvarur Bypass foundation on NH-83.
- Beyond infrastructure, Modi will tour the Brain Centre at IIT Madras, attend the Golden Jubilee of Jaigopal Garodia Hindu Vidyalaya Matriculation Higher Secondary School, and pray at the Jalakandeswaral Temple.
