At around 4:15 p.m. on the 10th, a 119 call was received reporting that "the vegetation on the grounds is on fire" at the Tanegashima Space Center in Minamitane-cho, Kagoshima Prefecture. According to local firefighters and the Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency (JAXA), the fire was extinguished about an hour later, and no injuries have been reported.
